Au Revoir!

We are off on a new adventure to Switzerland,France, and a touch of Italy for sixteen days! We have been packed for two weeks (just a little excited obviously). We start our adventure in Geneva, Switzerland and then a short drive to Verbier. We plan to visit Zermatt, Chamonix, Serre Chevalier, and perhaps Paris, before departing out of Tornio, Italy. Unofficially, our trip is being sponsored by Scott Sports and the Stevensons. At first we were planning on backpacking and really roughing it around with our limited budget but family and friends from near and far have come together to make this trip a second honeymoon. THANK YOU!
Warning to all Europeans: watch out for a bunch of Yankee's with skis, unable to speak a word of your language, and stoked on anything that involves the tourist lifestyle!
Zach will be taking pictures of everything!
Auf Wiedersehen!

Whose Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

In case you don't live in the Wood River Valley... there is a noticeable presence of wolves in our small town lately. So much so, that people have been taking pictures and videos of the wolves in local neighborhoods and chasing elk herds. The topic of wolves is constant discussion around our community for obvious reasons. People are strongly For or Against protecting them. I can understand both sides of the matter and really have only taken on the approach to learn more about them. In these pictures (forwarded from a friend) it's hard not to appreciate the simple beauty of the animal.

I just hope our little Lucy is no where near when the wolfpack cruises our neighborhood.

Birthday Extravagenza

Thanks to everyone that came out to Wise Guy's to help celebrate the old man's birthday! I think the highlight was the light blue Florida retirement hat from Joe-Joe. Zach is still getting compliments on that from strange older women. We had a great time and always enjoy spending time with our friends and family. Here's a few pix.

Mi Madre

My mom came to visit us this past weekend and we managed to pack as many activities in (per usual) in one weekend. Thursday my mom arrived after some interesting weather reports from Boise and went right to work with me on a job site. That night we had a lovely dinner with Zach's parents, Nick & Jean. Friday my mom and I had a great opportunity to do some skate skiing out North Fork with Lucy. My mom and sister, Erin, have both really gotten into skate skiing this past winter and I couldn't be more excited to share this great activity with them! A great lunch at Galena Lodge and then my mom and I managed to cook up a storm for the Walker family for the evening. Afterwards, we headed out to 310 Main for a DELICIOUS dinner with Zach. I can't believe this was only our first time there and we truly enjoyed Derek and Andrea's scrumptious eatery. Saturday my mom and I hiked up Quigly Mountain (thank goodness her ankle recovered) to get a great view of the snow covered towns below and the distant mountain peaks. Next we drove down to Shoshone to check out the local antique shops and then back up North for the Suns hockey game in Sun Valley, which is always a good time. So glad Willie and Jenna stopped in for a hello to my mom. Today, it was a great yoga session at Zenergy, over to Dev's studio, and then out Indian Creek to spend some QT with Zach's family. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone bye. We truly had a great visit with my mom and hope she comes back again soon :)!!!!!
